About
The fennec fox is the smallest canid in the world, weighing less than a house cat, with enormous ears that radiate body heat and pinpoint prey moving underground. Its thickly furred footpads let it walk on scorching sand, and it can go long periods without drinking, drawing water from food. It digs extensive dens in stable sand dunes and is more social than most foxes.
