About
The Arctic fox is superbly insulated, with compact ears, furry soles, and a seasonal coat that can turn white in winter and brown in summer. It tracks lemming cycles but also scavenges from polar bears and seabird colonies. Climate warming allows red foxes to expand northward, increasing competition in parts of its range.
