About
The narwhal is a small Arctic whale famous for the long spiral tusk grown by many males. It spends much of the year among sea ice and dives deeply to hunt fish and squid. Narwhals travel in groups and use sound to navigate dark polar waters, making them especially sensitive to ocean noise and changing ice conditions.
