About
The aye-aye is a nocturnal lemur with huge ears, rodent-like teeth, and an extremely long middle finger. It taps on branches, listens for hollow chambers, then gnaws into wood to extract larvae. Misunderstanding and forest loss have made this unusual primate one of Madagascar’s endangered icons.
