About
The Sunda pangolin is covered in overlapping keratin scales that form a protective armor when it curls into a ball. It uses strong claws to tear into ant and termite nests, then gathers prey with a long sticky tongue. Heavy illegal trade for scales and meat has made this species one of the most threatened mammals in Asia.
