About
The saiga antelope has an inflated flexible nose that filters dust in summer and warms cold air in winter. Herds migrate across open steppe, tracking seasonal grazing and water. After severe declines from hunting and disease, conservation action has helped some populations rebound, but the species remains vulnerable to sudden crashes.
