About
The moose is the largest member of the deer family and is instantly recognized by its long legs, broad muzzle, and the huge palmate antlers of adult males. It browses shrubs and aquatic plants, often wading into lakes to feed. Despite its size, a moose is a strong swimmer and an important browser in northern forest ecosystems.
