About
Moorish idols have disk-shaped bodies, black-white-yellow bands, and a long trailing dorsal filament. They graze sponges and other reef organisms in pairs or small groups. Their distinctive shape makes them one of the most recognizable reef fishes in the Indo-Pacific.
