About
The okapi is the only living relative of the giraffe and has zebra-like leg stripes that camouflage it in rainforest shadows. It uses a long prehensile tongue to strip leaves and groom its eyes and ears. Because it lives only in a limited part of the Congo Basin, forest protection is critical for its survival.
