About
Leopards are powerful solitary cats famous for carrying prey into trees away from scavengers. Their rosetted coats provide camouflage in habitats ranging from rainforest to dry mountains. Despite their adaptability, habitat loss, prey decline, conflict, and illegal trade have eliminated leopards from much of their former range.
