About
The common wombat is a sturdy marsupial built for digging extensive burrow systems. It has strong claws, a backward-opening pouch, and dense cartilage over the rump that helps block tunnel entrances from predators. Wombats graze mostly at night and are famous for producing cube-shaped droppings.
