About
The capybara is the world’s largest rodent and lives in social groups near water. Its eyes, ears, and nostrils sit high on the head, allowing it to watch for predators while partly submerged. Capybaras graze heavily, communicate with whistles and barks, and provide food for jaguars, caimans, and large snakes.
